Overview of XFEL Utilization Division

The XFEL Utilization Division promotes the sophistication of and increases the utilization of SACLA, so that SACLA can continue to support the development of state-of-the-art science and innovation. To this end, this division follows three strategies; (i) develop new user systems, equipment, and methods, (ii) provide effective and efficient user support, and (iii) exploit new application areas and user segments. While maintaining a strong partnership with a variety of groups and experts within and outside the institute, we are striving to make SACLA as competitive as possible in an open environment.

The XFEL Utilization Division consists of the following two groups.

• Advanced Light Source and Optics Research Group
• Advanced Measurement and Analysis Group
