Overview of Protein Crystal Analysis Division

Mission of Protein Crystal Analysis Division

  • Provide efficient user support of the highest level
  • Maintain measurement equipment and technology at the highest level in the world

The primary missions of the Protein Crystal Analysis Division are to provide support to the users of public beamlines BL41XU and BL38B1, which are designed for macromolecular crystals such as proteins, and to maintain and improve the measurement environments such as those listed below.

  • Measurements of high-speed and high-precision X-ray crystal diffraction data
  • Automatic measurements and remote experiments
  • Protein crystallization experiments

This division also carries out research on protein structure that will lead to the improvement of the environment of synchrotron radiation experiments.
